The Maiden City Mavens Point System
Social Media Posts (positive promotion of Chamber, Cynthiana, or businesses) - 5 points
Attend any community event - 15 points
Attend Chamber committee meetings (Leadership Harrison County, Breakout Leadership, Membership, Events, etc.) - 20 points
Attend a Chamber event - (Membership breakfast, ribbon cuttings, Summer Concert Series, Golf Scramble, Awards, etc.) - 25 points
Volunteer for a Chamber event (set up, clean up, work booths, etc.) - 50 points
Chamber Week Volunteer (pass out items, etc.) - 50 points
Create/Lead a Passion Project Initiative (trash pickup, plant flowers, etc.) - 200 points
Points can be cashed in for items in the Chamber store (Maven and Chamber swag, office supplies and more)! The store is located at the Chamber Office. Total Points will be kept tallied throughout the year.
The Maven with the highest point total at the end of the year will be named Maven of the Year at the Community Awards & will win a Macbook!
Mavens Tasks for
New Members
To get started as a Maiden City Maven, new members are encouraged to begin earning points by completing various tasks within 30, 60 and 90 days of membership:
Within 30 Days, Commit To:

Joining our Facebook Member Group to network online. Participate in discussions, ask for advice, etc. Better yet, provide information that makes you the expert in your field

Becoming familiar with our website, and submitting your information to our Member Directory to increase search results, promotional media and social media networks. Statistics show that more than 85% of all purchases start from an online search, and the Chamber’s online directory receives hundreds of searches each month.

Subscribing your employees or coworkers for Chamber updates. Signing up to receive Chamber communications will allow your business the opportunity to take advantage of events, training, and opportunities you may not have thought of. Just text “chamber” to 234-1400.
Within 60 Days, Commit To:

Stopping by our office to meet our staff and top off any literature (example: menus, event flyers, business cards, rack cards, etc.) that you would like displayed in our office and Visitor’s Center

“Remembering a Member” when fulfilling business and personal needs for goods and services. Check out our Member Directory to see who’s available for you. Don’t forget to ask about the Chamber’s Affinity Programs and Member to Member Deals.

Setting SMART goals you’d like to achieve by becoming a Chamber member. With these goals in mind, reach out to us so we can help

Taking advantage of one of our sponsored benefits or affiliate programs

Advertising in new ways. Now that you are familiar with our social media, check out the different ways you can advertise through our platforms and reach a new group of potential customers.

Encouraging your staff to attend a Chamber event

Contacting a Chamber staff, Board Member or Ambassador with any questions you might have about your membership
Bonus! Within 120 Days, Commit To:

Sharing your Chamber experience with someone who would benefit from membership

Sponsoring a Chamber event to increase your business’ exposure in the community

Communicating any special accomplishments (like a growing staff, new award, or milestone) so we can promote your success!

Joining the Ambassadors or other volunteer committee.
